At MOHAB, your immersion in this wilderness environment will increase your appreciation for being a positive steward of our natural resources.

The objective of MOHAB’s Conservation curriculum is:

To impart into participants a sense of stewardship of wild places and their importance to the positive existence of humanity.

The MOHAB Conservation curriculum focuses on THREE core areas:

  1. LEAVE NO TRACE – Practices for minimum impact wilderness travel and camping;
  2. WILD PLACES – Identify the needs for, and benefits of, preserving wilderness lands for ecosystem health and human benefit.
  3. ECOSYSTEM KNOWLEDGE – Learn the specific flora and fauna of the ecosystem of the Bob Marshall Wilderness Complex, and how it relates to, and is impacted by, human activity.
